aging skin HELP

WHY OUR SKIN AGES
As we start to age and the wrinkles appear, many of us will do just about anything to slow down the aging process. But what causes our skin to age? Many factors contribute to wrinkles and skin damage. And though aging is a natural process and our collagen production naturally slows down as we get older, certain things such as too much exposure to the sun, smoking, pollution and free radicals, and even sleeping positions can cause fine lines and wrinkles to appear pre-maturely. This is when seeking anti-aging skin care products is appropriate, as there are ways to reverse some of the damage.

DO YOUR RESEARCH
As you look for anti aging skin care treatments, be sure to do your research. Certain ingredients have been proven effective in scientific studies to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while others have not. Some effective anti aging treatments include glycolic acid products, aloe vera skin care, skin care products with Vitamin C, Matrixyl, Peptides, Hyaluronate and retinol face cream. Skin Rx offers products including vital C, a concentrated Vitamin C serum with a boost of anti-oxidants to battle aging, Glycolic Face Cream with 8% glycolic acid to help moisturize and renew the top layers of the facial skin, and for extreme anti-aging results there is an Anti-Aging kit with a Face Firming Complex and a Botanical Bio-Peptide Concentrate which works together to improve collagen production and reduce deep surface wrinkles by as much as 78%. The Arnica Facial Wash is a good choice for very sensitive skin as it cleanses the face with a very mild formula which contains aloe to calm the skin. Additionally, Skin Rx Clinic offers a powerful wrinkle cream called PepToxyl Wrinkle Relaxing Cream which is a topical product that mimics the effects of Botox in that it smoothes and reduces the appearance of wrinkles without the need for injections. Similarly, a Hyaluronate wrinkle filler called Rapid Response Line Filler penetrates into skin folds to hydrate and smooth deep wrinkles and expression lines.

THE SKIN AGING FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH
Younger looking skin can be achieved with the right combination of ingredients. Vitamin C has been shown to boost collagen production, especially in high concentrations. Additionally, Vitamin C is a powerful anti-oxidant skin care treatment. Glycolic Acid is a powerful AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) which smoothes wrinkled skin and removes age spots. Matrixyl is a “cosmeceutical” ingredient which causes an immediate and significant decrease in the depth and appearance of surface wrinkles. Look for wrinkle creams which contain these proven ingredients in addition to those with retinol, aloe vera, Matrixyl, Peptides, Hyaluronate, or microdermabrasion skin care treatments.

Sometimes we do things a certain way just because “that’s the way we’ve always done it”. This is true even in our skin care routines sometimes. You may try a new product here and there if you think it will make a big difference but ultimately, you don’t change the basics like how you wash [...]
