15% Glycolic Smoothing Gel 2 oz.:
2 oz. Glycolic Acid at 15% strength with pH 3.0. This oil free gel improves the texture and condition of skin with large pores, acne and blackheads, fine lines or sun damage. Those with sensitive skin can use several times a week as a peel by applying it to clean, dry skin and then removing in 5-10 minutes. Or, it can be left on skin if you are not sensitive. Great for sun damage on the hands, neck and chest. Follow the Gel with Skin Recovery Moisturizer (Oily/Acne) or Herbal Moisture Cream (Normal/Dry).
Ingredients:
Purified water, pharmaceutical grade glycolic acid 15%, salicylic acid, whole leaf aloe, butylene glycol, allantoin.
Directions:
Apply once a day to clean, dry skin. Avoid eye area. Apply moisturizer or Hydra Gel after application. Use for 3 months and discontinue for two weeks, then resume use. If you are sensitive to this gel at first, remove after 5 minutes with cool water for the first week. Thereafter, leave on skin. |

Glycolic Acid: is generally used as a natural skin exfoliant and moisturizer, although there is much debate over its safety and effectiveness. Glycolic Acid is from Natural fruit acids (alpha hydroxy acids or AHAs) to rejuvenate the skin by encouraging the shedding of old, sun-damaged surface skin cells. Glycolic Acids work by stimulating new growth of skin and collagen by decreasing the bond that holds dead skin cells on the surface. This allows dead cells to be removed gradually, leaving behind a layer of smoother and softer skin. People can use glycolic acid products for a variety of reasons relating to anti-aging – to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and to make the skin look smoother, tighter and younger looking overall.
Glycolic acid is also found in many acne treatments. By removing that top layer of skin, the newer (healthier) skin below the acne layer can be revealed, resulting in less oily and acne-prone skin. Glycolic acid can be found in over-the-counter facial cleansers and treatment creams and in chemical peels applied by dermatologists. There are countless products that are available on the market to help with skin treatment to make you look younger, and reverse the signs of aging. Allantoin: is a chemical compound naturally produced by many organisms, including animals, plants, and bacteria.
