Glycolic Acid: is generally used as a natural skin exfoliant and moisturizer, although there is much debate over its safety and effectiveness. Glycolic Acid is from Natural fruit acids (alpha hydroxy acids or AHAs) to rejuvenate the skin by encouraging the shedding of old, sun-damaged surface skin cells. Glycolic Acids work by stimulating new growth of skin and collagen by decreasing the bond that holds dead skin cells on the surface. This allows dead cells to be removed gradually, leaving behind a layer of smoother and softer skin. People can use glycolic acid products for a variety of reasons relating to anti-aging – to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and to make the skin look smoother, tighter and younger looking overall.

Glycolic acid is also found in many acne treatments. By removing that top layer of skin, the newer (healthier) skin below the acne layer can be revealed, resulting in less oily and acne-prone skin. Glycolic acid can be found in over-the-counter facial cleansers and treatment creams and in chemical peels applied by dermatologists. There are countless products that are available on the market to help with skin treatment to make you look younger, and reverse the signs of aging. One such product, glycolic acid, is used to treat the skin as it is able to help the skin.

Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract (Green Tea): When applied topically, it helps to protect the skin from the effects of free radicals in the environment. The leaf is also known for its soothing properties. The extract is made from the dried leaves of Camellia sinensis , a perennial evergreen shrub. Green tea has a long history of use, dating back to China approximately 5,000 years ago. Green tea, black tea, and oolong tea are all derived from the same plant.

Seaweed Extracts: When your skin is stressed, look no further than a seaweed. Seaweed is rich in beneficial minerals, vitamins, amino acids and trace elements. In fact, seaweed contains virtually every mineral found in the ocean – a concentration nearly identical to the minerals found in human blood. Seaweed is packed with vitamins, minerals, trace elements, and amino acids that are essential in maintaining healthy and youthful skin. This natural marine wonder helps slow the aging skin process while protecting it from the harsh environmental elements in the air and water. Essential vitamins include: A1, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, E, K, pantothenic acid, folic acid, and niacin.

Anti-Oxidants: are substances or nutrients in our foods which can prevent or slow the oxidative damage to our body. When our body cells use oxygen, they naturally produce free radicals (by-products) which can cause damage. Antioxidants are substances that may protect your cells against the effects of free radicals. Many experts believe this damage is a factor in the development of blood vessel disease (atherosclerosis), cancer, and other conditions.

Aloe Vera: has been used for thousands of years by the Egyptians, Romans, Greeks, Arabs, Indians and Chinese to decrease the appearance of scars and to moisturize and heal skin. It is a cactus-like plant growing in the warmer climates of the world and are described as succulents. Aloe vera is a very popular herbal remedy. The Aloe vera plant (also called Aloe barbadensis) is unique among plants for its importance in natural skin care.

Passion Flower: is cold-pressed from the seeds of the passion fruit, the oil is packed with vitamins A, C and potassium. It is also rich in linoleic acid which promotes the maintenance of healthy skin and has been used medicinally for hundreds of years Its benefits are well scientifically documented. It is most widely known for its sedative, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-spasmodic properties. Passion flower oil, Passiflora incanata, also known as Maracuja Oil, is a superior emollient rich in vitamin C, calcium and phosphorus. The high content of essential fatty acids and light texture of passion flower oil makes it a valuable contribution to a wide array of personal care products intended to nourish the skin and treat dry skin conditions. Maracuja Oil also contains a significant amount of the nutritive minerals, calcium and phosphorus. Stable sources of Vitamin C are rarely found in skin care ingredients, making Maracuja Oil rare among oils.

Algae Extract: is known for its non-irritating and non-comedogenic moisturization qualities. Algae Extract helps provide additional protection from irritation. Algae extract are active substance used to normalize the skin’s moisture content and provide suppleness to the epidermis. Used to add vital oligo-elements and increase surface hydration. there are different types of algae but the most used is Blue Green Algae in skin treatments.

Coconut Oil Soap: is best known in the soap making industry for adding a luxurious lather and firmness to a finished product. Coconut oil soap contains important anti-oxidants that protect the skin from harmful rays like ultraviolet light and various forms of atmospheric pollution. Antiseptic fatty acids in coconut oil help to prevent fungal and bacterial infections in the skin when it is consumed and to some extent, when it is applied directly to the skin. It will help to reduce chronic skin inflammation within days and be soothing and healing to wounds, blood blisters, rashes, etc. It is an excellent ingredient to use in healing salves and ointments.
