Glycolic Acid: is generally used as a natural skin exfoliant and moisturizer, although there is much debate over its safety and effectiveness. Glycolic Acid is from Natural fruit acids (alpha hydroxy acids or AHAs) to rejuvenate the skin by encouraging the shedding of old, sun-damaged surface skin cells. Glycolic Acids work by stimulating new growth of skin and collagen by decreasing the bond that holds dead skin cells on the surface. This allows dead cells to be removed gradually, leaving behind a layer of smoother and softer skin. People can use glycolic acid products for a variety of reasons relating to anti-aging – to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and to make the skin look smoother, tighter and younger looking overall.
Glycolic acid is also found in many acne treatments. By removing that top layer of skin, the newer (healthier) skin below the acne layer can be revealed, resulting in less oily and acne-prone skin. Glycolic acid can be found in over-the-counter facial cleansers and treatment creams and in chemical peels applied by dermatologists. There are countless products that are available on the market to help with skin treatment to make you look younger, and reverse the signs of aging. One such product, glycolic acid, is used to treat the skin as it is able to help the skin.
Zea Mays (Corn): Corn silk contains many of the phytochemicals found in barley greens, the thymol found in thyme, and also the menthol found in mint. It may or may not contain vitamin K, depending on the growing conditions and how it is stored. When oxygenated, it stimulates skin microcirculation, thus soothing irritated skin.
Aloe Vera: is a cactus-like plant growing in the warmer climates of the world and are described as succulents. Aloe vera is a very popular herbal remedy. The Aloe vera plant (also called Aloe barbadensis) is unique among plants for its importance in natural skin care. Aloe vera has been used for thousands of years by the Egyptians, Romans, Greeks, Arabs, Indians and Chinese to decrease the appearance of scars and to moisturize and heal skin.
Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil: is used for the great effect it has on moisturizing and hydrating the skin, while bringing a host of other benefits such as recompensing for lower ceramide levels in the skin and thereby reducing the appearance of wrinkles. The oil used in cosmetics and skincare products does NOT contain the psychoactive THC ingredient and is therefore not subject to any legal restriction. The essential fatty acid - linoleic - found in this oil, as well as its metabolite, gamma-linolenic acid, have proven to have very beneficial therapeutic effects on the skin. These fatty acids contain glycerides, sterols and phospholipids.
